| General | The resources on this website are organised into three areas namely Information, Software and Tutorials. Each area is broken down into the sections described below. Use the left had menu panel to navigate between these areas and sections. Please note that the footer at the bottom of each page tells you when the page was last updated. |
| Information |
The Information area is broken down into three
sections. News section is for very short news items that are each dated with the most recent item at the top. This section is a bit like a 'blog' and I will try to add items frequently. News items will be removed when they are too old to be useful. Articles section is for more detailed information that will be relevant for a longer period of time. These articles will be revised from time to time as indicated by the 'Last Revised' date on the Index page. Articles are listed in 'Last Revised' date order with the most recent at the top. Articles will be removed when they are no longer relevant. Links section is for useful links that I have come across and may be of interest to readers. Each item is dated as I cannot guarantee how long the link will work. Links are listed in date order with the most recent at the top. Links will be removed when they are no longer relevant. |
| Software | The Software area lists my favourite free (or cheap) software that you can download from the Internet. The listed software is broken up into four sections, Applications, Utilities, Diagnostic and Security. There is not much difference between applications and utilities other than utilities are generally single task and not as complex as applications. The diagnostic and security categories are basically self evident. Software is listed in alphabetical order. Each piece of software has a short description, a link to the product's website, which operating systems it will work on and its cost (if any). |
| Tutorials | The Tutorials area is broken up into three sections, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Each of these sections has an index page that lists the relevant tutorials in alphabetical order. There is a short description of each tutorial with its length in minutes and seconds and the approximate data download. Clicking on each heading will take you to a page where you can watch the tutorial. You need to have speakers connected to your PC and have them turned on and the volume set to an appropriate level. |
