Introduction This website has been created by the author in the hope that it provides some interesting and useful information enabling home PC users get more fun out of their PC investment. It is regularly updated and new information is being added frequently.

The website is arranged in three main sections, Articles, Software and Tutorials. Each section can be reached by clicking on the links to the left of this text. The top banner always contains tabs to the Home Page, Resources, Support and Disclaimer.
Articles The Articles are short discussions on specific topics that may be of interest to many readers. The information in these articles may have become superseded and the writer would really appreciate feedback so that corrections can be made or articles re-written. Please drop the author an email to peter@homecompnet.com and mention the article number.
Software This is a collection of really useful free software that can be found on the Internet. Much of this software is regularly published by PC Magazines on their free CDs and DVDs. Each entry in the list link has a short description and the vendor's website address where you can download the software. The more popular software is also downloadable from the Software Folder in the author's Skydrive Public Folder located at http://tinyurl.com/pf-public. For more information about downloading this software please refer to the Resources page.
Tutorials This is a collection of useful tutorials on some of the common tasks that need to be performed in Windows XP and Windows Vista. The tutorials are "movies" with a sound commentaries that lead you through specific tasks. The downloadable tutorials may be 1 to 10 minutes depending on the task covered. The tutorials are BB FlashBack files and since they are quite large they are located in the Tutorials Folder in the author's Skydrive Public Folder located at http://tinyurl.com/pf-public. Support The author offers residential PC Repairs and Home Network Support both remotely and on site. Hourly rates and all contact details are shown on the Support page. In addition, the author offers a residential Data Backup and Critical Maintenance Service which is also detailed on the Support Page.
